The Throne of Thanatos by Stoskri The Throne of Thanatos by Stoskri
Hey everyone! This is my first deviation, and since I just don't see enough badass Reapers out there, I thought I'd choose Thanatos here first. He started out as a vector Illustration I did for a previous employer but I fell in love and had to paint him in Photoshop.

honestly when i asked to color your picture earlier i was excited cause i liked it alot. but looking at this im not sure if i ever did any color treatment of this magnitude. i think the best i ever done was on my picture "rand the tiger finish". but that doesnt even hold a candle to this. im not sure but i think i mahave lost my nerve. i mean would look at how beatifully color treated your sythe is.

eh, don't hold yourself to any standard, just paint! The more you paint the better you'll get anyway. There's ALWAYS someone better out there than you anyways, there's hundreds of people I feel humbled by on here constantly ;)

This is great. wierd that im the fisrt to comment seeingthere are 10 favs. i think it only common courtesy to comment if youre going to add someones work to your collection of favs. but thats just my oppinion.

anyway i love the color scheme. the green death motif is always my classic fav. every thing look so perfectly colored and illustrated. as far as backround goes i thin it should ne like a kings thrown room with skeletal knights by the throne and a bone door in the back ground. thats the only thin i can come up with. may not be the brightest idea but this picture looks so good it hardly needs anything else

Thanks so much for the kind crits, I'm definitely thinking bones+skulls will be involved in the background, along with some sort of crpytish looking building... it needs an ice cream... (sorry, odd saying of mine, it means something to make it unique)

Dooood... I think I might actually do that... I just hate drawing chains, but maybe I could make it work... I probably need more practice on them anyways. This picture is only 9X10 inch full size (2k by 3k res), but It's still big enough for me to put a badass hound behind him I s'pose... we'll see what my wandering mind wants to do over spring break lol
