So this is an acrylic painting I did for Color Theory. It has a lot of meaning behind it because it is a Mandala, and is supposed to meditatively reflect on my inner self. I chose to portray my ideas of duality and chaos breeding order, or vice versa. The colors are meant to complement one another and the the celtic knotwork represents the cyclical nature of life, as well as it's eternal nature, in that you never see an end to the knotwork, it is infinite. This could be interpreted as a soul being created from the ether of the universal chaos surrounding it, or simply a yin yang symbol. Essentially it's all things contradicting that become one, which is how I see myself.
